History of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy       

  The history of the faculty originates from the history of the university, founded in 1937. Due to structural changes over the years, the faculty was named "History-philology", "History", "History and Law", "History and Pedagogy", "History and vocational education", "Pedagogy and Psychology", "Primary education", "Primary Education and Pedagogy".

      The Faculty provides services in the following specialties:

Bachelor course:

  • 6В01101-Pedagogy and psychology;
  • 6В01201-Pedagogy of preschool education and training;
  • 6В01301-Teacher training of pedagogy and methods of primary education;
  • 6В01601-History teacher training;
  • 6В01602-Preparation of a teacher of history-religious studies;
  • 6В01801-Training of a specialist in social pedagogy and self-knowledge;
  • 6В01901-Training of a specialist in special pedagogy (speech therapist).

Magistracy:

  • 7M01201-Pedagogy of preschool education and training;
  • 7M01301-Teacher training of pedagogy and methods of primary education;
  • 7M01601-Training of a historical teacher;
  • 7M01901-Special pedagogy.

Doctoral studies:

  • 8D01301-Teacher training in pedagogy and methodology of primary education;
  • 8D01601-Training of a historical teacher.

The Faculty of History and Pedagogy has six departments:

  1. "Methods of primary education";
  2. "Preschool and special pedagogy";
  3. "Pedagogy";
  4. "History of Kazakhstan and social disciplines";
  5. "World History and Religious Studies";
  6. "Psychology".

      The Faculty of History was occupied by the scientist R. Barlybaev, Ph.D., Associate Professor A. I. Ibraev, Ph.D., Associate Professor K. Iztleuov, PhD, Associate Professor S. Zholdasov, PhD, Associate Professor S. Abubakirov, the first female dean in the history of the University, PhD, Associate Professor B. Isabek. And the department of "methods of primary education", whose history begins in 1960, was part of the Faculty of "History-Philology". In the 1974-1975 academic year, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education was reopened. The dean of the faculty was Ph.D., Associate Professor V. I. Beloglazov, Ph.D., Professor K. Syzdykov, Ph.D., Associate Professor O. Zhumashev, PhD, Associate Professor B. N.Beglov, PhD, Professor L. Smanov, PhD, Associate Professor Sh. Arzymbetova, Ph.D. R. I. Kadirbayeva.

    By the decision of the Academic Council of the university in the 2015-2016 academic year, the Faculty of "primary education" was established, headed by Ph.D. Orazbayeva E. B., 3 specialties were prepared at the faculty, and in the 2016-2017 academic year the faculty was renamed "primary education and pedagogy", 5 specialties were prepared at the faculty.

    By the decision of the meeting of the Academic Council (Protocol No. 1 of 31.08.2017), the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities was renamed in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020 academic year and prepared a Bachelor of Education in 7 specialties, masters in 4 specialties, doctoral students in 2 specialties.

   In the 2020-2021 academic year, by the decision of the meeting of the Academic Council, it was transformed into "history and pedagogy". Currently, the acting dean of the faculty is PhD, senior lecturer Tautaeva G. B.

    The faculty has 5 Doctors of Sciences, 50 candidates of Sciences, 16 senior teachers, 23 masters, 4 PhD.

     Currently, the structure of the educational activities of the departments of the faculty is carried out in conditions of a developed material and technical base in accordance with the content of the state mandatory standard of education, the requirements of control over the civil service, the rules of social state policy. Specialized classrooms and classrooms are equipped with modern equipment (computer, interactive whiteboard, etc.). Training in the specialties prepared at the faculty contributes to the formation of world and national spirituality, morality and moral education, humanization as a highly moral citizen of society, contributes to the full assimilation of the content of professional activity in the field of education and obtaining high-quality professional education, the formation of cultural cognition.
