A week - action "I choose a university with an 85-year history" was held, organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Career guidance and Career Center. Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the Shymkent City Department of Education, signed on November 11, 2020, from October 22 to October 29, 2021, a weekly campaign "I choose a higher education institution with an 85-year history" is held, timed to the 85th anniversary of the university that trains future teachers. The event, which started last week, was continued by the Faculty of Natural Sciences on October 27. The event was attended by 312 graduates from 21 schools in Shymkent.
During the event, the students of the graduating classes of the city schools got acquainted with the university's base, faculty, scientists, students, dormitories and canteen, exchanged information about the achievements and modern capabilities of the university. After walking through the "Give Joy" site, they shared their wishes and joys.
The solemn meeting was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Board-Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Isabek Barshagul Karshynkyzy, who wished the students good luck and invited them to visit the sacred Alma mater with an 85-year history. Then the board member – vice-rector for Social and Educational Work Baygutova Aklima Marhabatkyzy and the head of the Career Guidance and Career Center Bitursyn Galymzhan Shamshidinuly spoke, who explained to the students that they are not mistaken in choosing a profession, that teaching staff is always in demand, every year the status of "teacher" is getting higher and higher. The students were given booklets, a magazine-guide of our university.
