History of the Department of «Vocational Training and Fine Arts»

 From 1956 to 1968 the Department of «Fundamentals of Production and Physics» prepared the specialties «technology», «Technology and vocational training». Over the years,more than three thousand highly qualified teaching staff have been trained for secondary and vocational schools in the region.1958-1962 for the first time, training workshops for metal and wood processing and a laboratory for the technology of metals and structural materials were opened. Workshops dedicated to the field of vocational training were founded.Since 1969, the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute has been training teachers of fine arts and drawing for general secondary schools.The Department of Fine Arts and Drawing at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was headed by senior lecturer E. M. Kan. The first teachers were Isaac Usmanovich Kadeev, Lev Nikolaevich Pavlovsky, Lyudmila Filippovna Zhilyakova.In 1969 the specialty «Technical drawing and drawing» was opened and the department «Fine Arts and Drawing» was created.For many years the department has been led by highly qualified specialists, scientists, teachers who held positions in the field of labor training and training of young people for the profession. In 1960-1970 it was renamed to «Fundamentals of Production and Physics», in 1970-1980 - to «General technical disciplines, technology and physics», in 1980-1990 - to «General technical disciplines and labor», since 2000 -to the specialty «Vocational training». The first graduates of the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute named after M. Auezov in 1973 in the specialty «Artistic drawing and graphics»: Yeralin K. E., Smanov L. S., Abduzhapparov A. A., Ibragimov U., Simova B., Shilibayev N. Sh., etc.

Employees who graduated from the educational institution: U. Ibragimov, Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Shilibayev N. S. in the 1980s, the director of the Shymkent Art School named after A. Kasteev. In 2014, he worked as Chairman of the South Kazakhstan Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1996 in connection with the reorganization of the higher education institution of the republic, the department was renamed the Department of  «Theory and Methodology of Vocational Training» and became part of the «Engineering and Pedagogical Faculty» of the newly created South Kazakhstan University for the Humanities.In the 2011-2012 academic year, the Academic Council of the South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical Institute by the decision of the Council No. 10 of 31.08.2012 opened the Department of «Vocational Training and Fine Arts». The first head of the department was Ph.D., associate Professor Zhalgasbek Zhapparbekovich Beysenbekov.In subsequent years the heads of the department were: 2012-2014 Tanirbergenov Medeubek Zhumatayevich, 2014-2015 Kemeshev Dillabay Anuarovich, 2015-2020 Baybatshayeva Aidaykyz Yerkinbekovna, 2020-2022 Uzakhova Ainakul Slamovna.The winners of the competition «The best teacher» of the university were K. A. Duisenbayev, Ph.D. associate professor D. K. Poshaev.Currently, the department trains bachelors in the specialty 6B01404-«Teacher training of art work and drawing», 6B012021 – «Design».Among the graduates of the department there is 1 academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 9 doctors of Sciences, 15 candidates of sciences. We can say with pride about the statesman and public figure, Akim Iskakh  - deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the first convocation, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akim of the district, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Sarmanov Yeragali Satybaldyevich, head of the Department of Human Development of the city of Turkestan Orazgul Batykovna, etc.Over the years the department has been updated, replenished with young specialists, participates in international, republican, regional competitions and becomes the winner of prizes. In particular: several times he took 1st place in the VIII - IX republican subject Olympiads of students of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty "Vocational training". At the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named by Abai, majoring in Fine Arts and Drawing, dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate and the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, he took 2nd place at the VIII Republican Subject Olympiad, 3rd place at the IX Republican Subject Olympiad. The IX Republican subject seminar of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty "Vocational training" was held at the Institute on April 6-7, 2017 within the framework of the theme "Modernization of vocational training - priority of improving the quality of human capital".On the basis of the department, a subject Olympiad in the specialty "Vocational training" was organized and held at a high level. 22 universities took part in the Olympiad.Young specialists of the department (Ernazarova Zh., Kasmyrzayev B.) took part in the competitions "Zhibek zholy", "Oner orenderi", "Magic paints", "Skillful hands" and won prizes. To date the department has 1 Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (D.         Nebessayeva Zh. O. has more than 10 years of work experience at the university. During his work, he made a great contribution to the training and retraining of scientific and pedagogical personnel in the field of education.Nebessayeva Zh.O. is actively engaged in scientific activities, and is also a senior executor of a number of projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan:1.
