The content of the work of the «Center for Continuing Education»

The «Center for Continuing Education» of SKSPU was opened as a department for advanced training and retraining of teaching staff on the basis of a decision of the Board of Directors of a non-profit joint-stock company dated July 29, 2020 (order No. 4-109 dated August 3, 2020) and acted as part of the Department for Academic Affairs from 01 September 2020.
From September 30, 2022, on the basis of the decision of the Board of Directors of the non-profit joint-stock company SKSPU No. 21 (order No. 4-156 dated September 30, 2022), the structural unit "Department for Advanced Training and Retraining of Teaching Staff" of the Office of Academic Affairs was renamed the «Center for Continuing Education».
The «Center for Continuing Education» reports directly to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
The main activity of the center is aimed at improving the qualifications of the teaching staff and retraining people who do not have a pedagogical education and for the first time begin their professional activities as a teacher in the relevant profile on the basis of the university

Main tasks and functions of the «Center for Continuing Education»:
* Preparation of a plan for improving the education of teaching staff;
* Conducting work in accordance with the plan for improving the education of teaching staff;
* Organization of work on admission to the retraining course of persons who do not have a pedagogical education, who have a professional education in the relevant profile, who are entering the professional activity of a teacher for the first time (hereinafter referred to as students) ;
* Organization of the development of educational programs of certification retraining courses together with the heads of departments;
* control over the organization of educational and methodological work of departments that train students of retraining courses;
* organization and supervision of production practices of students of retraining courses.
