Center for Continuing Education
The Center for Continuing Education was established on the basis of a decision of the Board of Directors of the non-profit joint stock company SKSPU dated July 29, 2020 (Order No. 4-109 dated August 03, 2020) under the name "Department of Improvement and Retraining of Pedagogical Education" and has been operating since September 01, 2020. Since October 1, 2022, the name of the department has been changed to the "Center for Continuing Education".
The Center for Continuing Education is a structural unit directly subordinate to the Vice-Rector of the University for academic affairs. The Center carries out the educational process to improve the pedagogical education of the teaching staff and retraining on the basis of the university of persons who do not have pedagogical education, who have professional education, who are starting the professional activity of a teacher for the first time in the appropriate profile. Work will also be carried out on the organization and conduct of advanced training courses for university professors and school teachers, as well as on the Silver University project.
In 2024, changes were made to the OP "PR0011-pedagogical retraining" and approved by the decision of the Board. The program has been included in the unified Platform of Higher Education (MBDOU - EHEA), has been verified and approved on 06/13/2024. The KP has been prepared in 8 areas of OP and includes 17 OP from the point of view of the bachelor's degree (Table 1).

About the Silver University project.
The main goal of this project is to create conditions and opportunities, improve the quality of life and social activity for the professional and active longevity of people of retirement age (50+). Starting from the new 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 13 programs are ready for operation according to the project (Table 2).
